How to get to Timisoara
We hope that this year’s participants will have a pleasant experience. This is why we’re providing everyone with the necessary details to help them get to Timisoara easier, whether via airplane or railway.
Timisoara, cultural city
Timisoara has always been keen on culture. You can visit plenty of modern and classic art exhibitions from different periods and eras, as well as a lot of contemporary art. The most impressive collection of Romanian and Austro-Hungarian art can be found at the National Museum of Art, situated in the Union Square, another important city landmark. You can also visit the Banat Museum, Therezia Fortress, The Banat Village Museum, galleries Calpe and Calina and The Communist Consumer Museum.
Sightseeing & attractions
Timisoara is a city that attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists every year. This achievement was reached not only thanks to the culture of the city, but also because of the impressive development in recent years. You can visit one of the largest projects in Eastern Europe, Iulius Town, which incorporates a business center, terraces and cafes, an impressive park, but also Iulius Mall. At the opposite end you can find Timisoara Shopping City, for those who want to spend their time shopping.
There are, however, a lot of other attractions and leisure options, such as Herneacova Racecourse, Bazos Dendrological Park, the Timisoara Zoo and others.
