Responsible for scientific research at the Toscan Institute of Stomatology (research foundation, http://www.istitutostomatologicotosca…), Camaiore, Italy. He graduated from the Faculty of Dental Surgery in Pisa and holds a university specialization in Oral Surgery and Implantology from the University of Pisa, and a PhD in Nanobiotechnology from the Faculty of Biomaterials in Toronto (Ontario, Canada).

With over 10 years of experience in research in oral health and implantology. An international lecturer and trainer in his field of expertise, implantology, with more than fifteen years of experience with implants.

In 2018, he received the ADR/Philips Oral Healthcare Young Investigator Research Grant for his project titled “The Influence of Different Surgical Protocols on the Outcome of Dental Implants in Diabetic Patients.”

He is the author of more than 70 scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals, co-author of three books, and an active member of the IADR.
